A Passion for Service

Our founders, Raphy Timour and Christopher Pontrelli, started Pontrelli, Timour & Associates in 2003 with a passion for providing superior service and the idea that by getting to know our clients’ unique needs, we could deliver better solutions for both owners and their employees. For almost 20 years, we have provided Southern California businesses with superior employee benefits tailored to their needs and budget. 

As our business grew, so did our network of trusted partners and our ability to deliver integrated business solutions. Our clients increasingly were looking for a “soup to nuts” solution to help them attract and retain top talent while mitigating risks. In 2020, we changed our name and our business model to comprehensively respond to their requirements.

PT Business Solutions is a full-service provider of employee benefit, HR, payroll, workers’ compensation and group retirement plans. Our flexible solutions utilize an integrated platform that is secure and simple to use. Best of all, you can take advantage of our full suite of services, or simply plug and play to access just what you need.

Christopher Pontrelli

Principal & Co-Founder

Providing great customer service is the most natural activity in the world. It’s fun to help others because it feels good.

After graduating from UC Irvine in 1992, Chris started his career with Bankers Trust in its 401(k) administration division. The company managed many of the largest accounts in Southern California, including for the County of Los Angeles. In addition to his life and health insurance license obtained in 1993, Chris has Series 6 and Series 63 securities licenses that enable him to offer 401(k) retirement plans.

In 2003, Chris teamed up with childhood friend Raphy Timour to form Pontrelli, Timour & Associates, Inc., now PT Business Solutions, to help businesses achieve their goal of offering employees top-tier benefits at the best possible value. For close to 20 years, we have delivered creative, cost-saving solutions and best-in-class support to Southern California business owners.

Married with two children, Chris believes in providing customer-centric service with a human face. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, loves to surf and paddleboard and is a huge sports fan.

Raphy Timour

Principal & Co-Founder

Always put your client first and good things happen.

Raphy began his career at Automatic Data Processing (ADP). During his time with the company, he worked in its Major Accounts Division (100–1000 employees). At ADP, he learned the full range of employee benefits administration and human capital management. Raphy has an active life and health insurance license from the California Department of Insurance.

Taking an entrepreneurial step forward, Raphy co-founded Pontrelli, Timour & Associates, Inc. in 2003 with his lifelong friend Chris Pontrelli. For almost 20 years, Pontrelli, Timour & Associates, Inc., now PT Business Solutions, has thrived as a full-service, independent insurance agency specializing in employee benefits for the small to mid-sized business community. Raphy’s extensive experience provides a unique perspective of the benefits landscape bringing focus to recruitment and retention. Raphy specializes in bringing integrated, creative and cost-saving solutions to his clients.

Raphy is married and has two children. Outside of work he enjoys the beach, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
